Lady Gaga confirmed to Perform at Super Bowl 2017 Half-Time Show

After Lady Gaga officially released the first single from her upcoming album Joanne, there were numerous rumors about her allegedly headlining the half-time show of Super Bowl.

As it happens, the rumors have been confirmed as fact, and Lady Gaga will indeed play the prestigious gig, joining the company of Coldplay, Madonna and Katy Perry who have recently performed at Super Bowl. "It's not an illusion," the singer tweeted. "The rumors are true.

This will be her second consecutive Super Bowl appearance after she performed a stunning rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" on California’s Levi’s Stadium at Super Bowl 50 at Santa Clara.

"I just thought about the lyrics and what they really mean," Gaga later said of her National Anthem performance. "They've been around a long time, so I thought about what they mean now, I just sang from my heart."

This year’s Halftime Show had received mixed reactions due to many artists (namely Coldplay, Bruno Mars and BeyoncĂ©) appearing in a strange blending of performances, so it seems like a good decision to put it all into Gaga’s capable hands this time. Her performance will take place on the 5th of February 2017.
