Chuwi Vi8 Plus is a $100 Cherry Trail Windows tablet

There’s a new affordable Windows tablet out, and it is manufactured by the Chinese company Chuwi. Named Chuwi Vi8 Plus, its price is below $100, which should make it attractive for people who want a decent Windows tablet for a small price.

A few corners need to be cut in order to reach this price range, though. The device has a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution on an 8 inch IPS display, an Intel HD Graphic Gen8 GPU, and 1.44 GHz Intel Cherry Trail Z8300 64-bit quad-core processor. It also comes with a 4,000 mAh battery, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

There’s a microSD card slot, a USB Type-C port, HDMI port, and support for 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. When it comes to cameras, the device is equipped with a 2 megapixel front facing camera, with the rear facing camera also being 2 megapixel.

It weighs a bit over 12 ounces with the dimensions of 8.3 x 4.9 x 0.4 inches. You can find it on Banggood or Geekbuying for $99.99 and $97.57.
